Trade, agriculture and manufacturing recorded positive business-registration balances in Italy during July–September 2026, according to Movimprese figures reported by Agenparl on 22 October.

Trade added a net 1,486 businesses, agriculture 798 and manufacturing 123. Eighteen of the nineteen main sectors finished the quarter in positive territory.

Construction, accommodation and food services, and professional, scientific and technical activities contributed the largest absolute increases. Together, they accounted for 9,687 additional businesses, more than half the national net gain.

The quarterly study is produced by Unioncamere and InfoCamere. Its sector balances describe changes in business numbers, rather than changes in sales or output.
